Types of CONSONS RoHS PCB

Rigid PCBs offer higher mechanical strength. They are suitable for industrial control systems and home appliances.

These softer PCBs can be flexibly bent and are suitable for manufacturing small devices with limited space.

Featuring a single-sided design and manufactured using lead-free processes and eco-friendly solder mask ink, these PCBs are suitable for devices with simple structures.

With traces on both sides, these boards are suitable for more complex electronic systems, such as 5G communication base stations, automotive electronics, and medical devices.
RoHS PCB By Materials
High-TG FR4 RoHS PCBCONSONS offers thermally stable FR4 boards with a Tg of ≥170°C, which maintain their flatness even during high-temperature reflow soldering.
Aluminum RoHS PCBAluminum’s excellent thermal conductivity, combined with lead-free, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, makes it suitable for high-power LEDs and automotive lighting.
Rogers RoHS PCBThis PCB is suitable for applications involving high-frequency current and signal transmission; it reduces signal attenuation and ensures the normal operation of 5G base stations.
Benefits of CONSONS RoHS PCB

CONSONS uses an EMS system to ensure the traceability of every batch of components, guaranteeing that you receive genuine chips.

We use lead-free technology for PCB soldering. Since this process requires higher temperature tolerance, we use PCB substrates with a high Tg value (>170°C) for manufacturing.

Every PCB is shipped with a verifiable SGS report number. You can also verify it by scanning the code on the official website.

CONSONS has dedicated lead-free production lines to prevent contamination of components.
Lower Coefficient of Thermal Expansion
To accommodate higher soldering temperatures, we use FR4 PCBs with a lower coefficient of thermal expansion in the Z-axis direction (< 45 ppm/°C) for manufacturing. This ensures drilling precision and prevents deformation at high temperatures that could affect performance.

Applications of CONSONS RoHS PCB

This is a sector where products come into frequent contact with and are used by people, making the safety of components such as PCBs critical. RoHS is a universal standard for smartphones, laptops, tablets, and smart wearable devices, and it also facilitates the smooth export of your products worldwide.

For the production of home appliances, CONSONS also provides RoHS-compliant PCBs that meet WEEE requirements to facilitate subsequent disassembly and recycling. This ensures your products meet international environmental and sustainability standards.

For medical devices such as patient monitors, portable diagnostic instruments, and ultrasound equipment, CONSONS goes a step further by confirming there is no risk of heavy metal leaching. Our PCBs comply with ISO 13485 manufacturing standards, ensuring medical safety.

CONSONS RoHS-compliant PCBs are suitable for various systems, including in-vehicle instrument panels and battery management systems. We meet the ELV automotive environmental standards. While the vehicle is in motion, our PCBs can withstand drastic changes in interior temperature and maintain stable performance even under vibration.

For signal transmission equipment such as 5G base station routers, our PCBs are designed to handle high-frequency signal transmission demands. Each circuit board undergoes flying probe testing to verify performance, ensuring stable signal transmission.

RoHS-compliant PCBs also reduce electronic pollution in industrial emissions, helping your industrial equipment meet international environmental standards.
Reliability Testing
Once PCB production is complete, CONSONS uses X-ray inspection to verify material concentration and internal coating thickness, ensuring that our PCBs comply with RoHS and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive) regulations.
The manufactured PCBs undergo six soldering tests at 288°C to determine the finished boards’ resistance to thermal shock.

Our RoHS-Compliant PCB Manufacturing Process
When submitting Gerber files, you must specify that a lead-free surface treatment process is required and that the substrate must meet halogen-free and lead-free requirements. If you require third-party SGS certification, this must also be noted in the files you upload.
For RoHS-compliant PCBs, CONSONS conducts specific reviews and evaluations, such as verifying that the Tg value of your PCB substrate meets the design requirements for high-temperature resistance.
Additionally, we analyze specific parameters—such as pad spacing and via diameter—to ensure solderability, taking into account the reduced solderability associated with lead-free processes.
Next, CONSONS will complete rapid production of your RoHS PCB within 24–48 hours and use X-ray fluorescence (XRF) to test for hazardous substance content. After confirming compliance with RoHS standards and passing thermal shock testing, you will need to verify all sample details.
Once the sample has been approved, the CONSONS RoHS PCBs proceed to mass production, final quality inspection, and shipping. CONSONS’ production lines are strictly segregated between leaded and lead-free processes, effectively preventing cross-contamination from lead components. Before shipment, every batch of PCBs undergoes visual and electrical performance testing to ensure that you receive only compliant products.
No, CONSONS specifically uses solder mask inks with high Tg values for lead-free soldering processes. These inks have also undergone rigorous high-temperature baking and reflow oven testing, ensuring color stability during reflow or wave soldering and preventing issues such as fading or yellowing that you may be concerned about.
Yes, CONSONS uses an EMS system to track raw materials and the production process, ensuring that the raw materials for every batch of PCBs are SGS-certified and shipped along with your PCBs.
Yes, all auxiliary materials including solder mask, screen printing ink, and adhesives—meet RoHS and halogen-free requirements. We also use vacuum packaging to provide effective isolation and eliminate the risk of secondary contamination.
If your PCB contains BGA components with spacing less than 0.4 mm, lead-free spray tinning may result in an uneven surface, making soldering more difficult and compromising stability. For such components, CONSONS recommends the ENIG (Immersion Gold) or Immersion Silver to achieve a smoother surface.
No, manufacturing PCBs in accordance with RoHS standards does not significantly affect their quality. Compared to conventional PCB manufacturing, production that adheres to this standard is characterized by the complete absence of heavy metals, such as lead, throughout the entire process. Additionally, CONSONS selects specific high-Tg materials and implements precise temperature control tailored to lead-free processes to ensure solder joint reliability.
